Some individuals will have particularly sensitive or dry skin. This category may include the lighter skin tones on the Fitzpatrick Scale, which are more sensitive to the sun, chemicals, fragrances, dyes, foods, rough fabrics, etc. Conditions such as Eczema and Psoriasis could also be included in this category. This skin type may react with redness, burning and itching to Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, or other active ingredients. Also, aging skin, with low lipid content may need extra hydration and gentler exfoliation and therefore should start out in this category.
