Three veteran businesswomen; Brigette Manning, Judi Argue, and Conde Stenson are the original founders of Biophora, Science Made Simple; Canada’s first anti-aging and medical skin care product and treatment line established in 2002. But this partnership is nothing new. In the 1980’s, these long-time friends and business associates, also
brought Colours International, an award-winning image, makeup, skin care, and wardrobe consultation franchise business to the global market. In the nineties, with a team of medical partners, these three industry experts also launched longevity medicine and multi-disciplinary wellness clinics to the Canadian market. Then in 2002 they delivered Biophora, the first Canadian-made medical skin care product line to plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and physicians in countries throughout the world. Finally, in 2013, the trio was offered the Canadian distributorship for US-based Oxygenetix Breathable Treatment Foundation—the most effective post-treatment camouflage and aloe-based healing accelerator on the market, now under the Biophora umbrella. 

In 2015, Tracy Desmarteaux—a certified medical aesthetician and educator, laser technician, and naturopath—joined the original founders of Biophora as National Clinical Director and soon after became a partner. With over 25 years of experience in the medical aesthetics industry, Tracy brings a dynamic blend of expertise and vision that has elevated the company to new heights. Her contributions have been instrumental in advancing Biophora’s protocols, enhancing educational resources, and driving forward-thinking product development strategies, resulting in a new era of innovation and growth. Tracy is very clear about her mission, “Biophora transformed my own troubled skin, so my passion for these formulations is deeply rooted in my own experience. I’ve worked with hundreds of other products in my career that simply do not light a candle to Biophora’s efficacy and results. Educating Skin Care Specialists new to our network as well as supporting those who have been with us for years, on product knowledge and advanced protocols, is tremendously fulfilling.”

All four women agree that their longevity as business partners and friends is based on the same principles of a good marriage. According to Argue, who oversees marketing for the company, “It takes good communication, cooperation, a common vision, and mutual respect for what each of us brings to the table. We may not always agree, but we truly adore one another and respectfully talk through our differences to come up with creative solutions. That extends throughout our entire business model—infusing a familial, nurturing atmosphere to our staff, our accounts, and their clients.”
